The Clif Bar Company was inspired by the founder Gary Erickson tired of the boring and disgusting bars he had when on a 175 mile bike ride. This idea was taken to his mother and they tirelessly worked until finding the perfect recipe of nutritious flavourful nutrition. These bars were called Clif Bars after his father who introduced him to the adventure and passion of the outdoors. The company soon exploded and these products could be found everywhere by the late 90s. They pride themselves in being good for people and the environment while still maintaining a great business. They base the company on five aspirations: sustaining communities, the planet, people, business and their brands.
